The student may rejoin the remaining in-person classes/sessions when safe to do so. There will be no additional charge.
Training Conduct
-
Dogs/people who are not enrolled in the class/session are not permitted to participate or observe the class/session.
-
Family members (from the same household) of dogs who are enrolled in the class/session can participate or observe the class/session. The number of participants are permitted as follows:
-
For in-person group class: one person per dog (due to pandemic).
-
For in-person private training session: two people per dog (due to pandemic).
-
For online class/session: Unlimited, but please note that too many people may be disruptive for your dog.
-
-
At least one participant must be a legal adult.
-
Participants in a class/session may include a child accompanied by his/her/their legal guardian. However, for the effectiveness of training and safety, age restrictions apply as follows:
-
14 years old and above for puppy socialization and manners training.
-
16 years old and above for reactivity/aggression cases.
-
-
The accompanied guardian is fully responsible for managing their juvenile participants during the class/session and while remaining on the training property. The instructor and Happy Fido Company are not responsible for any misconduct caused by the participants and/or the guardian.
-
If the instructor recognises that the additional participant is unfit to join or observe the class/session, the instructor has the rights to remove the person/people from the class/session.
-
For the effectiveness of training, one handler is permitted per dog. If two dogs from the same household are enrolled, another handler must be present, unless an explicit exception is made.
-
The handler must be capable of following the instructor’s guide. With this reason, we highly recommend the main handler to be mature and competent enough to handle the situation; e.g. above 14 years old and above.
-
Clients must follow recommended safety protocols including muzzling and leashing the dog, when requested by the instructor, during the class/session.
-
For in-person training, ill or contagious dogs are not permitted to participate. Bitches in season must refrain from attending class as well. The instructor should be notified about the condition in advance.
-
All behavioural and medical concerns of dogs must be disclosed in writing prior to commencement of class/session.
-
All vaccinations and/or titres must be up to date according to your veterinarian’s recommendations. The client must submit the vaccination/titre certificates upon completion of registration or prior to commencement of the class/session.
-
Corrective training techniques or equipment such as choke, slip, prong or shock collars are not permitted in any class/session.
-
For in-person training, when dogs urinate, defecate, vomit or cause any other mess, the owner is responsible to tidy up the mess.
-
We do not record our class/session (in-person and online), so please ensure that you are able to attend the class/session. There will be no complimentary make-up class/session or refund (except due to COVID-related absence).
-
For online class/session, please ensure that you have the suitable equipment to participate in the class/session.
Registration and Payment
-
Classes/sessions are filled on a first-come-first-served basis. Spots are not held until payment is received.
-
Payment must be received within 24 hours of receiving the invoice or notice to pay, lest the tentative registration/appointment is cancelled. If a spot in class/session is booked less than five business days in advance to the start/appointment date, payment is due immediately in order to hold the booking.
-
All services are non-transferable/non-refundable.
-
For classes (in-person and online), as the course prerequisites, clients must attend the live orientation webinar on their first day of class. The orientation webinar will not be recorded. There is no penalty if you missed the orientation webinar, but it may impact your dog’s training because we will cover key concepts and important steps to set you and your dog up for success. We offer an orientation webinar to ensure that our clients and their dogs get the best learning and training experience. The orientation webinar also allows you to meet your instructor and ask questions.
-
Exemptions are made for COVID-related absence. You have the option of joining the next orientation webinar (note: this may occur after you complete your program) or choosing to receive an orientation handout that covers the key discussion points before the start of your practical class.
-
-
Purchased sessions are valid for six months from the date of the purchase. Clients are fully responsible for the utilisation within the expiry. Exceptions cannot be made to these deadlines. Refund, credit, nor service transfer cannot be made for the expired unused session(s).
Cancellation Policy
-
We are unable to offer refunds or credit within 48 hours of your class/session.
-
Cancellations of class/sessions in advance of 48hrs will be rescheduled, but no refunds will be offered.
-
No-shows and late cancellations will not be refunded or credited.
-
In the case of any cancellation on the part of Happy Fido Company, the instructor will contact the clients scheduled for the affected class/session by phone and/or email. The class/session will be rescheduled.
-
For in-person training (group class and private session), in the event of COVID-related shutdown, students will be transferred into the virtual class/session. No credit, refund, or other services can be substituted for this transfer.
Missing Class/Session
-
The client is responsible to arrive on time for the scheduled class/session. If the client arrives late, there will be no make-up for the lost time. For example, when a training session is scheduled at 10 am for 1 hour (ending at 11 am), if a client arrives late at 10:15 am, the training session ends at 11 am as scheduled. There will be no catch up time for the lost 15 minutes.
-
If the client misses a class, private sessions may be booked to cover missed subject matter and are subject to private session pricing and policy. Make-up sessions should be completed prior to the next class in the program. We cannot guarantee that our trainers will be available to provide make-up sessions prior to the next class in the program.
-
In the event of a COVID-related absence (e.g. quarantine, isolation, illness) from in-person training (group class/private session), the student will be given access to the virtual platform, and may rejoin remaining in-person classes/sessions when safe to do so. There will be no additional charge.
